Is it just us, or has Justin Bieber turned into a bit of a punk? The 19-year-old has had to issue two public apologies for his behavior in the past week, and has acted a bit questionably in other aspects of his life, too.
The most recent mea culpa came after Bieber didn't take the stage at a London concert until almost two hours after it was scheduled to begin. He took to Twitter to clarify the matter, saying the show was actually only 40 minutes delayed and that the whole situation was caused by "technical issues."
"There is no excuse for that and I apologize for anyone we upset. However it was great show and I’m proud of that and tonight we will run on time and look forward to putting on an amazing show for everyone in attendance," Bieber tweeted, referencing his other scheduled shows in London.
He continued -- because his apology went on for 8 tweets -- "my relationship with the media is not always easy but im trying. Im all about the music and the performance and i respect my fans. i never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. and Im not okay with things being exaggerated. once again sorry for anyone upset. now we have a show to do today and Im gonna focus on the positive and put on a great show tonight here in London."
Bieber isn't exaggerating about having a bad time in London. He celebrated his 19th birthday in the city on March 1, but ended up calling it the "worst birthday" on Twitter. After a couple days of backlash and speculation, Bieber set the record straight on Instagram.
"The funny moment when people believe I brought underage people to a club.. U think Will [Smith] is letting his 14 year old [Jaden Smith] in a club, I don't think so," Bieber posted. "2nd I love how the club wanted to give the press another reason to why we didn't stay at their weak ass club so they wouldn't look bad for me walking in and right back out..i said m "worst bday" but that was due to dummies pushing over my fans and being overly aggressive. Btw it wasn't the worst bday cuz all my friends from back home flew in I was just mad in the moment."
Other head-scratching choices made by The Biebs while in London include parading around the city shirtless, which prompted actress Olivia Wilde to tweet: "Bieber, put your f--king shirt on. (unless you lost all your shirts in a fire in which case my condolences and please purchase a new shirt.)". Seriously, he's been flaunting those teenage abs more often than not lately.
All this drama comes not long after Bieber was photographed smoking marijuana in January. So is this a sign of dark times for Bieber, or just a 19-year-old's normal rebellious phase? We're guessing the latter -- Bieber is college-aged, after all -- but we still want him to remember that he has an obligation to his fans as a public figure. No one's buying his concert tickets to watch him be a brat.
