Watch out, Jessica Biel -- Justin Timberlake is about to be seduced all over again by ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz… and we’ll all be watching! Timberlake, 29, has just been cast as the object of Diaz’s affections in the upcoming black comedy Bad Teacher.
Diaz, 37, will play a “foul-mouthed, gold-digging seventh-grade teacher” who gets dumped by her sugar-daddy boyfriend, then sets her sights on a substitute teacher (Timberlake) who’s an heir to a wrist-watch fortune. This sparks a bitter rivalry between Diaz’s character and the teacher’s squeaky-clean girlfriend (played by British actress Lucy Punch). Jason Segel has also been cast as the school’s gym teacher; no word yet on where he fits into the love triangle.
Timberlake and Diaz broke up in 2007 but have a lot of history: They first met at the 2003 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, and were one of Hollywood’s hottest couples until their split. Sounds like Bad Teacher could be a big break for Timberlake, who has never had a lead role in a big-screen comedy, but has shown considerable comic chops in multiple SNL appearances.
Before Timberlake was cast, rumor had it that the role would go to Bradley Cooper… but this choice makes for much better gossip!
