Justin Timberlake has dated many gorgeous celebrities, but Marine combat instructor Kelsey DeSantis can now say she showed the star "one of the most moving evenings" he's ever had!
Back in July, DeSantis posted a YouTube video asking Timberlake to be her date to the annual Marine Corps Ball in Richmond, Va. And on Saturday night, JT made good on his promise to attend (and set an example for his Friends With Benefits costar Mila Kunis, who agreed to go to another Marine Corps ball with Sgt. Scott Moore in North Carolina next week).
"I knew I would have an evening that I wouldn't forget... Something I could tell my friends about," Timberlake, 30, posted Sunday afternoon on his website. "What I didn't know was how moved I would be by the whole experience."
Timberlake had nothing but compliments for his date, 23-year-old Corporal DeSantis.
"She seemed to me to be so humble and honest... Very cool. She also simultaneously seemed like she was nervous about the whole evening and if I was going to enjoy myself. 'Are you ok?' she asked 2 or 3 times. 'I hope you are having fun. I know you will once my crew of friends get here to the table.'" he said.
Timberlake admitted he was impressed with DeSantis' attitude and all of the service men and women he partied with at the ball.
"I have to tell you, it's not every day that I meet a 23 year old girl and she's more worried about if I'm having fun or if I'm comfortable! It hit me all of a sudden that these were the type of people that look after us and our freedom... Humble, concerned for others before themselves... This was the type of person our Marine Corps was building. I was really blown away."
And DeSantis' fellow Marines had nothing but good reviews of their celebrity guest.
"We all brought sexy back! Justin seemed to have a good time, and it was great to see him there," one serviceman told People.
Sounds like if things don't work out with his on-again, off-again love, Jessica Biel, he knows where to find a humble and brave girlfriend!
