We're Not Crazy About Justin Timberlake's New Single -- What Do You Think?

J.T. officially announces a new album, but his newest single doesn't impress us -- we're not giving up on him though!

Justin Timberlake wasn't kidding when he announced on Jan. 10 that he's "ready" to make new music. A new album is indeed on the way, and Jessica Biel's hubby has already released his first single.

Called "Suit & Tie," the song features Jay-Z. It's not as sexy as the Timberlake songs we came to know and love from FutureSex/LoveSounds, but who can really complain about having new music from one of our favorite pop stars? And if Jay-Z is the collaborator on Timberlake's first track to hit airwaves, then that bodes well for the other artists who might have hopped on the new album. Even Justin Bieber could have been involved. Listen to the new single here:

Along with the release of "Suit & Tie," Timberlake posted an open letter to his website to confirm that he has a new album coming out in 2013. It's going to be called The 20/20 Experience, and it's going to be "A LOT of fun."

"Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC," Timberlake writes. "The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process."

He continues, "What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way. ... I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it."

We're sure we will, but we hope the rest of the album has some catchier hits. As much as we did enjoy listening to "Suit & Tie," it didn't really have a great chorus, and it's not something we can picture dancing along to in a club. Then again, Timberlake did already say that he's experimenting with new sounds, which is great -- as long as we get a suitable follow-up to "Sexy Back."
