All of you fist-pumping, GTL lovers can relax! According to Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, the cast of MTV's Jersey Shore is not on strike as previously reported.
"That is by far a very untrue rumor. You have to laugh at crazy reports like that. Stories about strikes and things make us all laugh," JWOWW tells Steppin' Out magazine, after reports that production on the reality show had ceased while Farley and her housemates negotiated a hefty pay raise for the show's third season.
"We all know that production is right on schedule. When the rumor first came out I actually had no idea what it was all about," the Filthy Couture designer said. "None of it was true. Nobody ever talked about going on strike. I called Nicole ["Snooki" Polizzi] and asked, ‘What is going on?’ Nobody knew anything about a strike. We all just laughed about it."
To drive home her point, JWOWW adds: "To answer your question: No, there was never any talk of a strike and everyone is very happy with the way the production has been going. Don't believe what you read."
So, will our faves, including Pauly D, The Situation and Snickers be back for another year of "beating that beat"? You can bet your hair gel on it.
"The entire cast will be returning to Seaside Heights for Season 3," a source told UsMagazine.com. "There were rumors that some cast wouldn't return and that was the case at one point, but creators changed their minds."
"MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3," the network concurred in a statement. "Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them. Stay tuned for Jersey Shore Season 2 on July 29."
