One Way Kanye West Is Actually an Incredibly Normal Dad

We really never thought we'd say this, but we feel the same way Kanye does about family time.

Kanye West made an uncharacteristically down-to-earth (well, for Kanye) appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, following his apocalyptic Twitter feud with the comic. Though the two mostly talked reconciliation (and Kanye smiled during a clip of the now infamous sketch of a child actor reenacting an interview Kanye gave to the BBC), the proud papa also expressed his desire to protect Kim Kardashian and baby North West from the press.

"I care about protecting my baby and protecting my dreams," West said. "That's the reason why I'm so crazy."

To fully make amends, Kimmel gave West a gift for baby Nori -- a tiny pair of designer leather jogging pants -- which should fit right in with the rest of her wardrobe.

But despite the family's over-the-top fashion choices, West's comment on family time didn't seem all that different from most parents we know:

"The only luxury is time," he told Kimmel, "the time you spend with your family."
