Kanye West loves Beyonce and Jay-Z. In fact, he loves them so much that he infamously got up on stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and gave his "I'mma let you finish" speech to defend the Queen B. That's why it comes as a bit of a shock to find out that not only does West not like Jay-Z's collaboration with Justin Timberlake on "Suit & Tie," but he actively despises it.
"I got love for Hov, but I ain't f--king with that 'Suit & Tie," West said while rapping a verse of "Clique" at a concert in London at the Hammersmith Apollo.
That's not all West had to say during the show. His full 10-minute rant attacked more than just the Timberlake track: also under fire were the Grammys and his Taylor Swift interruption. As can be seen in the above video, he goes on for a while, asking fans to "remind me again why we in this s--t."
"Since when [is] making music about getting rich? Since when was making art about getting rich," he rapped. "Remind me again why we in this s--t. Remind me again why the Grammys couldn't suck my d--k."
Of all his disses, it was the "Suit & Tie" slam that really riled up the audience. Sure, it could be that "Tie" just rhymed the way West needed it to, but we're of the belief that he's having a hard time watching his pal team up with another collaborator. Just last week Timberlake and Jay-Z announced they'll be going on tour to promote The 20/20 Experience this summer, but it was only a little over a year ago that West was the one sharing a stage with Jay. Both rappers teamed up on the Watch the Throne tour in 2011 and 2012, a critical and commercial success. Despite what he rapped over the weekend, West has gotten plenty rich off of his art. His venom toward his friend's latest project -- without him! -- just seems like a childish tantrum out of jealousy.
