When Kanye West decides to speak his mind, it's usually controversial -- but it's always entertaining. Right before he spilled the beans that he and Kim Kardashian were expecting a baby, the rapper broke into a philosophical rant during his Saturday night show in Atlantic City, talking about fashion, Lady Gaga, Twitter death threats, and more. Watch it below (warning: strong language), or scroll down for the highlights!
Some choice quotes from Kanye's speech, which he improved during the song "Clique":
"You know the press and the media...they'll try to tell you, Kanye's so crazy, so deranged. I ain't crazy. I'm just not satisfied."
"They say, why did you show your [fashion] collection in Paris? I say, well, ain't that the best place to show it?"
"When I was a producer, they told me not to rap. They said, you don't look gangsta enough... Look at your pants, man, how skinny is that?"
"I love Maroon 5, but when I lost for best new artist to Maroon 5, you know, I mean... or when Watch the Throne and Dark Fantasy, neither of them got nominated for album of the year... when 'N****s in Paris' didn't get nominated for Record of the Year, you know what I mean? So don't expect to see me at the Grammys this year."
"Anything I ever touched, it was from my heart... Even when people used to say, "damn n***a die" on Twitter, it was still from my heart. Even when they dropped my f**king tour with Gaga, that s**t was still from my heart. And I'd die for what's in my heart."
All right then!
Even when he's not dissing Maroon 5, Kanye is attracting a lot of attention these days -- mostly for his bizarre fashion choices. So far, during his three-day gig in Atlantic City, he's worn a feathery all-white costume that made him look like the Abominable Snowman, and a full-face mask covered in diamonds. This is after he turned heads by wearing a leather skirt at the Hurricane Sandy benefit.
We have to say, we kind of like the outrageous new Kanye. Wonder how much of it is Kim Kardashian's influence...
