Not only is Kara DioGuardi happy about Ellen DeGeneres joining American Idol, she’s calling shotgun on the seat next to her.
"I am lobbying for her to sit next to me," said DioGuardi. "I think the way it was before, it was Randy, then me, Paula and Simon. I'm just assuming she will sit there."
When asked what advice DioGuardi had for DeGeneres, she told People.com, "For me it was to be myself, but she’s already herself. I think it’s just really to have an opinion and never make an excuse for it. Just go with your first reaction."
It's only been two weeks since DeGeneres was hired to replace Paula Abdul but it feels like the syndicated talk show host has been part of the show all summer based on the immense reaction to her hiring.
One of the great subplots each season on American Idol was the sexual tension between Abdul and Simon Cowell.
But if DeGeneres is seated next to Cowell, she won’t have to worry about any sexual tension!
Would the producers switch seats in order to generate a new sexual chemistry between Simon and Kara?
