It doesn't matter to the Kardashians that President Barack Obama isn't a fan of his daughters watching their reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. To them, all that matters is that the first family is watching!
Earlier this week, first lady Michelle Obama, 47, told iVillage that she and their daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, will sometimes watch Keeping Up with The Kardashians together -- though Barack, 50, isn't thrilled about it.
A source close to the Kardashian clan tells Us Weekly that the sisters "are flattered" that the Obama family tunes in. But another source tells TMZ that Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and company were a bit "surprised" by Michelle's admission because President Obama personally told Khloe that Keeing Up with the Kardashians was a "great show" when they met last year. (Hey, maybe he changed his mind?)
As far as the first lady is concerned, it's not the content of the shows her daughters watch that matters, but the lessons they take away from them. Malia and Sasha only are allowed limited time in front of the television on the weekends, and that's only if they've finished their schoolwork and other requirements first. At that point, Michelle lets her daughters watch whatever programming they so desire.
"Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians -- when they watch that stuff -- he doesn't like that as much," she said. "But I sort of feel like if we're talking about it, and I'm more concerned with how they take it in -- 'What did you learn when you watched that?' And if they're learning the right lessons, like, 'That was crazy,' then I'm like, 'Okay.'"
