Don't count Kat Von D and Jesse James out just yet! The heavily inked coupled were rumored to have been headed to splitsville, but Von D insists they're just as solid as ever.
Breakup rumors spiked when the L.A. Ink star was snapped out with former love Nikki Six on Oct. 5 -- a get-together which, Von D says, was strictly platonic. "I'm not dating Nikki," she told USA Today Tuesday, while signing copies of her new book, The Tattoo Chronicles. "We didn't get back together. Jesse and I didn't break up."
Sounding just as "in love" as before, Von D, 28, gushed about the motorcycle man that infamously broke Sandra Bullock's heart with his cheating ways.
"I've known Jesse for a long time, since I was 22 years old," she says. "I think he's probably one of the most kind-hearted, intelligent human beings."
As for other rumors that the two are engaged (Von D has been showing off a nice, diamond sparkler as of late), the reality star seems to love playing coy.
"I don't know if I really feel comfortable talking about it," she said. "(The ring is) from the 1900s... It's been an addition to all the rest of my jewelry and my Victorian collection. They don't make things like this anymore. There's no more craftsmanship in a lot of things."
