Kate Gosselin has endured a nasty public breakup, stalking from the paparazzi and one of the most infamous haircuts in TV history -- but could she handle the fox trot or the tango? She may have to: insiders reportedly believe the reality TV mom is prepping for her Dancing with the Stars debut.
The Washington Post reports that "the deal was virtually done" for Gosselin, 34, to appear on ABC's wildly popular dance competition show. If true, the official announcement about the TLC star (who raised her twins and sextuplets with then-husband Jon Gosselin, 32, on camera during the hit series Jon & Kate Plus 8) is expected to take place during tonight's season finale of The Bachelor, when ABC reveals the new DWTS cast.
Gosselin has been coy about her dancing ambitions in the past, telling Jay Leno (on his now-defunct Jay Leno Show) that she had no interest in boogying onto Dancing with the Stars: "I want to laugh at myself. I so cannot dance. It would be a sad sight."
According to the New York Daily News, other possible DWTS contestants include Pamela Anderson, Olympic diver Greg Louganis, and gold-medal skater Evan Lysacek (sorry, Full House fans, but John Stamos will not be among the latest dancing "stars," People reports.) The new season of Dancing with the Stars is slated to begin on March 22.
