Talk show veteran Kate Gosselin made yet another TV appearance today. But while we're used to seeing her discuss her dramatic divorce on shows like The View and the Today show, we weren't quite sure what to expect of her sit-down with funny lady Ellen DeGeneres.
Ellen started out their dialogue by holding up two massive stacks of magazines and telling Kate that her face was on every single cover. And then the hostess pretty much admitted that she doesn't follow the tabloids and knows nothing about what's going on in Kate's life. The mom of eight didn't seem to mind Ellen's lack of research, and she gamely filled her in on the details.
When Ellen asked her why she thinks the media is so interested in her, Kate explained that her family is an easy target. "Certain ones of us choose to speak a lot and certain ones of us choose to keep quiet and make dinner for our kids," Kate said in an obvious jab at her soon-to-be ex-husband Jon. Though funny, the statement was a little unfair. Uh, Kate, you're not exactly keeping quiet by going on Ellen...
Ellen then brought up the subject of Kate's wedding ring, and the mom shared how she explained to her kids that she was taking it off. She told her brood that she hoped to replace it with a new ring with eight diamonds, representing her bond with her kids. When Ellen asked if each child would then get a ring with one diamond, Kate quipped, "Absolutely. When they get a job."
Gotta love a Hollywood mom who's not spoiling her kids!
