Next week will mark the start of a new chapter for the Gosselin family: "ALL EIGHT OF MY CHILDREN will, for the first time ever, ATTEND FULL-TIME SCHOOL this year!" matriarch Kate Gosselin recently wrote in her TLC blog.
The Kate Plus 8 star went on to reminisce about the days when she was still pregnant with her sextuplets, Collin, Aaden, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah, now 6 years old (older sisters Mady and Cara are 9): "I can remember many days spent lying on bed rest (the last time I had copious time that I didn't know what to do with), thinking ahead to the day when I would send eight children off to school Monday through Friday," she blogged. "I suppose I thought ahead to this, because, at the time, the thought of having eight children at home Monday through Friday scared the living bejeebers out of me."
And it's a bittersweet time, the mom of eight admits. "Reaching this milestone is a privilege that is never a guarantee -- extra especially not in a high-risk sextuplet pregnancy -- and I feel honored (even if a bit sad) to send them marching off to school..."
So when the kids are away, will mom Kate play? Gosselin writes that six years ago she "drew the conclusion that someday my house would, thanks to the school system, sorta somewhat calm down again... Uh yeah, or so I hoped!" If anything, Gosselin should now have some quiet time for herself to keep up her tan, her hair and her body -- and maybe get a new man in her life!
