Kate Gosselin has a new life and a new look! The reality TV mom of eight got an amazing makeover from People magazine — and guess what the first thing she wanted to change about herself was? Her hair, of course!
It was good-bye porcupine spikes and hello, long sexy hair! We barely recognized Kate with her blonde hair extensions, but don’t you thinks she looks great?
“It’s good to have hair again,” Kate tells the mag. “I never thought I’d have short hair for as long as I did. I feel like this is a fresh start, a fresh me, a fresh life.” She even says, ”I’ve got it. I am now Kate Clean Slate.”
“Short hair was easy. I could shower in less than three minutes,” she explains. But now that all her kids are in school, maybe she can keep up the new look?
Kate talks about her recent divorce from Jon Gosselin on Dec. 18. “I still wish the drama would just stop. But the fact that I was barely mentioned in those stories [about Jon and his ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman] gave me hope that there will come a day when my marriage to him will no longer be what people first think of when they see me.”
Some of Kate’s friends even called to congratulate her when her divorced was finalized, but although everyone was happy for Kate [she got custody of her kids and could stay in their Wernsville home] she says, “You’re congratulating me on a failed marriage? I knew what they were getting at, because I am starting over and cutting ties from something that was really dragging me down, but it was a rough day. I wasn’t prepared for the intensity of the emotion involved.”
She even says that the Jon spent Christmas with her and the kids, though it was “An uncomfortable day and a half.” But 2010 is Kate’s year!
“I’m rebuilding. There’s no option for this not to be a good year. Now I get to start over with a new self and new goals.”
