Reality superstars Jon and Kate Gosselin split almost two years ago, but Kate says she's barely had the chance to get back out into the dating scene.
In an interview with the Today show's Matt Lauer, the mom of eight admits she's barely been on "half a date" since her marriage broke up -- and reveals that any potential suitors have a lot to live up to.
"I feel like I have my life together pretty much, but let be honest; it's going to take a strong person to wrangle this mess," the Kate Plus 8 star said. "If he can pass the test, he's got to be Superman."
Gosselin admits that dating now is a whole new ballgame compared to when she was younger.
"You start out the first time around, and you're some single with not a lot of baggage or issues," she said. "I like to have fun, but I don't have a lot of time for myself. I do have eight kids!"
Kate, who has had a tumultuous and highly publicized divorce, did manage to dig at her ex once or twice during the interview. She told Lauer that perhaps her dating life would be easier if her ex found a way to see their kids a little more often. As of now, Jon has custody of the brood two weekends a month.
"I wish that he would see them more, to be honest; so do the kids," she said.
Kate says that, though she and Jon have managed to find some middle ground, she is still very careful about how she handles situations with her ex.
"The important thing is that I control my reaction, my behavior, my attitude and my words," she said. "What I receive back is not in my control."
