Kate Gosselin Gets Her Own Show (with No Dancing!)

TLC, the network who brought viewers Jon & Kate Plus 8, has given its star mom Kate Gosselin just that, a little more TLC. Gosselin, 35, is getting her own brand-new reality show called Twist of Kate. USA Today reports the series will feature Gosselin using "letters from women inspired by her story as the basis for profiles of women facing their own challenges."

"I look at it as a loose concept," Gosselin says of the project, in which she'll be visiting the homes of the women who have contacted her. "I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don't consider myself an expert on anything."

TLC's chief Eileen O' Neill thinks Gosselin will continue to make for fascinating television. "She will be in that person's shoes," she says. "And more often than not, it's not going to be terribly comfortable for her. She's game for things, but she also has limits and boundaries."

It won't be the last you'll see of Gosselin on the network, though. In addition to the 12-episode season of Twist of Kate, TLC will also air Kate Plus 8 specials beginning this June. No word yet if ex-husband Jon Gosselin, whom she's now engaged in a custody battle with, will appear in the specials.
