Wearing a sunflower-yellow top and a softer, wavy hairdo, Kate Gosselin was looking fab during her second day guest-hosting The View. She was also looking a lot like a married woman -- Kate has yet to take off her wedding ring. Watch the video of Kate talking about her marriage here.
"I've had it on for 10 years," Kate explained when asked why she hadn't removed the ring. "I'm not officially divorced."
Lest we take this as a sign that she intends to reconcile with Jon Gosselin, Kate shared the story of how told her kids she's "not gonna wear this ring much longer." The kids didn't really like the idea of a ring-free Kate, so promised them she'd get another ring for that finger.
"Mommy," 5-year-old Leah asked, "are you gonna marry another daddy?" No, said Kate -- at least "not for a long, long time."
Once the kids finally understood she would not be going back to Jon, one of them asked: "Will daddy still be our daddy?"
Kate said she assured them that, yes, Jon would be their father forever.
As for Jon's recent proclamation that he "despises" Kate, she offered no retaliation, insisting that she's a "high-road taker."
Conveniently, Dr. Phil was The View's next guest of the day. While he offered no comment on Jon's assertion that the main topic their pre-split counseling session was merely about the Jon & Kate "brand," Phil did discuss his belief that "a reality show is hard on a marriage."
Kate said that while that may be true, their breakup "was gonna happen anyway."
In an especially revealing moment, Kate addressed her fertility treatments and the allegations that she's another "octomom."
"It was never my intent to have multiples," Kate said. "I was just taking what they were giving me."
Kate also took the opportunity to set the record straight on what kind of fertility treatment she used to get pregnant: she says it was not in-vitro fertilization (as many have assumed), but intra-uterine insemination.
Do you think Kate did a good job co-hosting The View?
