See Kate Middleton's First Post-Baby Red Carpet Look. Wow!

Kate Middleton chose a sparkly dress that actually seems kind of practical for a postpartum mom, too.

Seven weeks after baby was born, we were psyched to get out of the house wearing something other than sweat pants. But if you’re Kate Middleton, a striped tee and jeans can only get you so far. At some point evening wear is required!

For her first event after the birth of son George, a fundraiser for wildlife conservation group Tusk Trust, Kate chose a sequined floor-length Jenny Packham gown, according to The Daily Mail. Not only was the gown sparkly and chic, it was a prettry strategic choice for a mama who may still be nursing.

The drapey top hides the lines from nursing pads and the back looks like it unbuttons for easy access to “the girls” -- because even princesses need to pump if they're nursing a 2-month-old. And the rough texture of the sequins would hide any undergarment lines. Because we’re really hoping that she at least had to wear Spanx.
