Kate Walsh has put privacy aside for her first nude magazine cover! The Private Practice star, 44, shows off her buff body on the cover of Shape magazine's March issue. It's actually the first nude cover in the magazine's history -- and it was all Walsh's idea.
"Right now, I feel really healthy, confident and sexy," she explains to the magazine. "I'm enjoying my 40s and wanted to share that."
Even though Walsh is all about celebrating her 40s, she's not ruling out the possibility of a mid-life crisis.
"I do drive a Porsche, so maybe it is," she jokingly concedes.
In the pages of the magazine, the actress discusses the possibility of plastic surgery -- something that every middle-aged actress is forced to consider these days. Walsh says she's not into unnecessary surgery, but she's not one to judge anyone else's decisions.
"Everyone has her line in the sand. I draw mine at facials and laser treatments," she explains. "But if others want to go a step further, it's their call."
In addition to her hit medical drama, Walsh is promoting her newest fragrance, Billionaire Boyfriend, which she introduced on Valentine's Day. The actress realizes that starting a perfume line is a somewhat unusual hobby for a TV actress, but she had a very specific inspiration.
"My boyfriend and I broke up and it was, 'Oh, I miss him. I miss that scent.' You couldn't find that," she explained to USA Today. "How do you put an emotion and a feeling and a memory in a bottle and also make it delicious so that everyone wants to wear it?"
Though she likes to keep her love life "super top secret," it's clear that Walsh isn't lacking for male company any more: She's been dating writer Chris Case since last summer. No wonder she's smiling so big!
