The Carnage star isn't one to let a little house fire ruin her tropical vacation. In August 2011, Kate Winslet was vacationing at Virgin Group CEO Richard Branson's private-island home when lightning struck, setting the house on fire. The actress promptly woke up, grabbed her two children, and carried Branson's elderly mother down the stairs... but not before she put on a bra! "In disastrous moments like that, you do the strangest things," she later explained, laughing, to BBC's Graham Norton. "So I started to put on a bra, and then thought, 'That's gonna take me too long,' off came the bra, on with the T-shirt, grabbed the bag, grabbed the children and picked up Granny." Though Winslet insisted she was not a hero, Branson issued a statement thanking her for her bravery. "Many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90 year old mum out of the main house to safety," said the business mogul. "She was wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT!"
