Kate Winslet is known for her curves as well as her acting abilities -- and that's one of the many reasons we love her so much. Her newest ads (see above) for the spring campaign of fashion brand St. John show her flaunting her full shape and looking gorgeous doing so. And that's an intentional decision.
"You don't have to be a size 2, or even a size 4, to be able to wear these garments," the 36-year-old mother of two shares in a behind-the-scenes video for the making of the ad. "They fall so well and are cut for women with a shape. And of course I love that. That's me all over." Watch the video below!
Winslet says she's received a ton of positive feedback about her St. John advertisements, a reaction she calls "heartwarming."
"A lot of women say they believe they could wear a particular dress or a pair of pants or a sweater because they have seen that I am able to wear those pieces," she adds. "It is really important to be able to dress in clothes quickly that look effortless and feel comfortable."
"Kate is an ideal choice for our new campaign," St. John creative director George Sharp said when Winslet signed on with the brand last year. "She is an accomplished, beautiful woman with an extraordinary body of work, and one of the most admired actors of her generation. She embodies the modern sensibility of St. John, she is contemporary and authentically captures the style of the St. John woman." We'll say!
