Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy, Knocked Up) has never really been one for the Hollywood scene (the outspoken actress has gotten herself in hot water with the industry more than once). Now, she's moving away from it.
Heigl, 31, her musician husband Josh Kelley and their daughter Naleigh have ditched Los Angeles for a more quiet life in Utah. Kelley, 30, just cut his first country album (he first made a name for himself as a pop/rock singer-songwriter) and is now talking about the couple's decision to relocate.
Kelley told Us Weekly, "We live up in the mountains in Utah now. Katie rides horses, I do a lot of fishing and golfing, it's a lot of fun." And did Heigl have any qualms about leaving L.A. behind? "It was a dream of Katie's for years. We got married out there and I just fell in love with it. It's amazing and one of my favorite places in the world. What we'll probably do is put our time between Nashville and Utah. When we were in L.A., we were never in the scene. We don't really leave the house. I stay in my studio and write music all the time."
There reportedly isn't much the couple miss about their old Hollywood lifestyle. "The only thing I miss about L.A. is the golf course! Other than that, no. I don't miss the traffic, I don't miss the fact that our yard was too small for our animals," Kelley said.
Nashville happens to be where Kelley made his recent country album (what he called his "true path," according to People), and the location has increasingly hosted some Hollywood luminaries -- among the city's many famous residents are fellow actress/musician couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.
