Katherine Heigl Gives Her Daughter Three Granny-Chic Baby Names -- It's a Hat Trick!

Last month we learned that Katherine Heigl and hubby Josh Kelley added to their family by adopting a second baby girl. Now, we've learned the name: It's Adalaide Marie Hope, according to People.

Adalaide is a Germanic name meaning "exalted nature," and while it's not a very popular name choice these days -- it hasn't made the Social Security Administration's list of top 1,000 baby names for any of the past 12 years -- we think it's super cute.

Katherine has German ancestry, so picking a German name is a nice nod to her heritage; we also love the still-strong celebrity baby naming trend of old-fashioned, granny names for girls. (She also followed a trend in giving her girl two middle names.)

Finally, the pick fits nicely with the name of the couple's first daughter, Naleigh, 3 1/2, whose name is a tribute to her mom Nancy and sister, Margaret Leigh. We're guessing that Adalaide's name must have some family love in it -- we're looking forward to learning more about it.
