Michael Jackson's father Joe has done a lot of despicable things to his family over the years -- and on Sunday, he reached another low by holding wife Katherine Jackson responsible for their son's death. Katherine, who now takes care of Michael's three children, responded on Monday via her attorney.
"Joe Jackson's statement and conduct toward Mrs. Jackson are outrageous," Katherine's spokeperson told Access Hollywood. "The world knows Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and she had a very special relationship with Michael." The attorney added, pointedly: "The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget."
Indeed. An abusive dad, Joe Jackson robbed Michael of his chance at a normal childhood, fathered a child with one of several mistresses, used a posthumous Michael Jackson tribute to promote his new record label, and admitted to whipping his children. Clearly, the man has severe emotional problems (and is probably jealous of Katherine's inclusion in Michael's will). So why doesn't long-suffering Katherine divorce him already? She actually did file for divorce twice in the '70s but never followed through, allegedly because of her Jehovah's Witness faith. However, she and Joe have lived separately for years; while she lives with Michael's three children in Encino, California, Joe spends his time in Las Vegas, Nevada. We hear that's the City of Sin -- appropriate, no?
