Kathy Bates

Actress, director and Oscar-winner for her turn as a psychotic fan in Misery, Kathy Bates recently revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. She didn't need to undergo chemotherapy or radiation. Her prognosis is positive: "My doctors have assured me I'm going to be around for a long time," she told People magazine. The 64-year-old also said "I'm looking forward to getting back to work doing what I love to do."
