During an interview with SheKnows.com while promoting her new daytime talk show Katie, Couric was asked who her dream guest would be. It's not too surprising that she chose the Duchess of Cambridge.
"I think it would be really interesting to interview Kate Middleton because I think she has comported herself so well since she has been thrust in the limelight," Couric said.
But she didn't leave well enough alone. Couric then added, "Although, I think she needs to eat more because she's so thin."
We thought we were finally over the great weight debate, since the ultimate consensus was that putting too much of a focus on Middleton's size will have a negative effect overall. Sure, the 30-year-old has appeared a bit waifish since her wedding, but if there's a problem we bet Prince William is aware of it.
"I don't think we have a problem like Di did with weight," a royals insider told E! News last year. "I don't think William would put up with it, he's very attuned to things with Kate, unlike Charles was with Diana."
This announcement probably means Middleton won't be visiting Katie any time soon. Couric can instead talk weight loss with Jessica Simpson, who will be the first guest to grace the show when it kicks off Monday. Also announced to appear are Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and 50 Shades of Grey author E.L. James.
