Call it...When Harry (Potter) Met Katie! Katie Holmes, who made her Broadway debut in the 2008 revival of Arthur Miller's 1947 All My Sons, has finally made her way to the Tonys stage, though it's as a presenter. According to People, Mrs. Tom Cruise will be presenting the prestigious best featured actress award, alongside Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.
Radcliffe is no stranger to the Broadway stage either. He starred in 2008's revival of the drama Equus (in which he appeared nude!). The 20-year-old actor is also set to star in 2011's revival of the 1961 Pulitzer Prize-winning musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
While Holmes, 31, has no immediate plans to return to the Great White Way, her presence is still felt. "Katie has proven herself a welcome addition to the Broadway community with her phenomenal debut last year in All My Sons and her continued support of theater," a Tony Awards source told People, adding, "She and Daniel will bring a really great energy to the show this year, and everyone is really looking forward to working with her."
Nominees in the category for which Holmes and Radcliffe are presenting include Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Hecht (both for A View From the Bridge), Maria Dizzia, (In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play)), Rosemary Harris (The Royal Family) and Jan Maxwell (Lend Me a Tenor).
The 64th Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Sean Hayes, will be broadcast live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 13.
