Hey Tim Tebow, Katy Perry might -- just might -- have a crush on you.
Tabloids have linked the 27-year-old pop star (who split with husband Russell Brand in late December) to the hunky 24-year-old Denver Broncos quarterback. And this weekend Perry seemed intent on fanning those flames -- giving Tebow not one but two shout-outs while in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl.
The first came when she took the stage to present an award at the NFL Honors ceremony on Saturday, and made sure to mention Tebow, who was sitting in the front row of the audience.
"Hey Tim, my parents say hi," she said, a reference to the fact that her parents -- who are both ministers -- have reportedly suggested that the very devout Tebow would be a great romantic match for their daughter.
Perry's flirtation didn't stop there; during a pre-Super Bowl performance later that night, Katy gave Tim a second shout-out. "This one goes out to Tim Tebow," she said before launching into a rendition of "Peacock."
In case you were wondering, the song is pretty risque. A sample lyric from the chorus: "I want to see your peacock, cock, cock."
But while modesty isn't Perry's thing, it certainly is Tebow's. The deeply religious NFL star, who has publicly stated that he's waiting until marriage to have sex, is the new face of Jockey underwear -- but appears fully clothed in all their ads.
Despite -- or perhaps because of -- Tebow's actions, the company says sales have soared since he became their spokesman. We bet Katy Perry's not surprised!
