Katy Perry would like you to know that she's not getting divorced, she's not pregnant, and she's not her own evil twin sister returning to steal the family fortune. On Thursday morning, the pop star compared herself to a soap opera as she shot down the latest rumors about her marriage to Russell Brand.
"First I'm pregnant & then I'm divorced. What am I All My Children?!" Perry tweeted (along with the hash tags "ericakane," "pshh" and "ifihadadollarforeverytime...").
Perry, 27, was responding specifically to a rampant rumor -- spread mostly via Twitter -- that she had filed for divorce from Brand, 36, after 13 months of marriage. Ironically, when the false news started percolating on Wednesday night, Perry and Brand were getting inked together at a Los Angeles tattoo parlor.
Just days ago, the singer also shot down speculation that she was pregnant with a resounding "Hell no!"
"I like In-N-Out Burger and Taco Bell," she told a Hollyscoop reporter of her supposed baby bump. "If you want to make that pregnant then that's your problem."
Maybe Katy Perry's home life just isn't scandalous enough for the gossip columns. We'd call that a good thing! She and her hubby will reportedly be celebrating the New Year by vacationing in India, where they were married last October.
