Sexy singer Katy Perry, who's never shy about showing her stuff, stripped down to her skivvies for the new cover of Rolling Stone. And inside, she's pictured wearing nothing but a pair of fishnet stockings!
Perry's interview is just as revealing as the seductive photo shoot. The "California Gurls" artist opens up about her misunderstood relationship with fiance Russell Brand.
"Russell's so sensitive and sweet," Perry, 25, says of her husband-to-be. "The Russell that people know from the media is not him at all."
The popsicle-melting pop star may not be who we think she is either, as she comes from a strict, Christian family with pastor parents. Though Perry has a fun, care-free image, she says she's easily bothered when religious references are used lightly.
"I am sensitive to Russell taking the Lord's name in vain and to Lady Gaga putting a rosary in her mouth," she says, referring to Gaga's "Alejandro" video. "I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen. Yes, I said I kissed a girl. But I didn't say I kissed a girl while f-ing a crucifix."
Perry, who grew up in California, says that her family had their share of rough times, but it's not something she likes to talk about.
"Sometimes we ate from the same food bank we used to feed our congregation, and I was very embarrassed by that," she says. "We had the food-stamp moment too, but I don't like to talk about that. I don't want to come from the place of 'Hey, relate to me, I use food stamps.'"
