The People have spoken, and they say Katy Perry is a big winner! Despite canceling her scheduled appearance, the singer took home the most awards at the 38th annual People's Choice Awards Wednesday night.
The singer, whose estranged husband Russell Brand filed for divorce in December, won five awards: favorite female artist, tour headliner, song of the year for "ET" (with Kanye West), music video for "Last Friday Night" and TV guest star for How I Met Your Mother.
"THANK U to every1 who voted for me for the @peopleschoice tonight! We won so many! Now I need to get more books 2 successfully display them!," tweeted Perry after the show.
Another big winner of the night was the final installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The film picked up four awards for favorite movie, action movie, book adaptation and ensemble movie cast. Unfortunately for fans, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and the rest of the magical saga's cast wasn't present to accept the awards.
Emma Stone, however, was on hand to receive her two trophies for favorite movie actress and favorite comedic movie actress.
"I moved to L.A. eight years ago this week with my mom, who's right there," Stone said in her acceptance speech. "It is so insane to be standing up here right now. It is hard to describe to you."
Hosted by The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, the PCAs also honored entertainers like favorite TV comedy actor Neil Patrick Harris, favorite TV comedy actress Lea Michele, favorite daytime TV host Ellen DeGeneres, pop artist Demi Lovato, as well as favorite movie actor Johnny Depp.
