Keep a Child Alive

Keep a Child Alive provides AIDS-affected families and orphans in Africa and India with medical treatment, education and nutritional and emotional support. As co-founder and global ambassador, Alicia Keys has launched media initiatives (most notably the “I am African” campaign spearheaded by Iman, David Bowie, Lenny Kravitz, Sarah Jessica Parker among others), appeared on Oprah twice on behalf of the charity, produced a documentary about those in need, helped raise millions for the cause and hosted numerous fundraisers.

She once told CNN: “Helping keep a child, or mother, or father, or brother, or sister alive means turning the worst epidemic of our lifetime into the greatest victory of our generation.”
