Keeping Busy Indoors

"We have a great idea we do every time it snows: We fill up our little baby bath with snow. I place the tub on top of a vinyl tablecloth in the family room. The kids love playing with shovels, buckets, spoons and even cookie molds. We also add different colors to it using food coloring. This activity has definitely helped on those 'Mom I'm bored' days."

"The girls and I are gathering Disney characters and we are going to create a collages of characters on their playroom walls. But just because the heat is gone, doesn't mean we won't be doing things outside. Our whole family LOVES to play in the snow and you can be sure we will be doing it as much as possible."

"We are very fortunate here in Vegas that there are few winter days that we are not able to go out. For those few days we are stuck inside, I like to create forts, tunnels and play areas using sheets, pillows, chairs and whatever else trapped our fancy. Building helps my four-year-old expend some of that pent-up energy and he is usually ready for a nap after lunch!"

"We have a slumber party. We stay in our pajamas all day and watch movies and eat popcorn while curled up under a blanket."

"We are going to make a lot of collages with that pile of old, unread magazines sitting on the floor, and holiday decorations for our windows made out of construction paper."
