VIDEO: Keira Knightley on Her Engagement: "He Did It Very Well"

The Seeking a Friend for the End of the World star gushes to iVillage about getting engaged and reveals what she was like in high school

British starlet Keira Knightley has always been pretty quiet when it comes to her personal life. So, it's no surprise that she was a little hesitant to dish up the details when iVillage asked how her new fiance, musician James Righton, popped the question.

"I'm not going to tell you that! He did it very well," says the 27-year-old actress. But one thing she did reveal is that she's a big fan of her new diamond sparkler. "The rings are great."

Knightley -- who stars opposite Steve Carell in the comedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (in theaters June 22) -- also dished to iVillage about what she was like before she hit it big.

"What was I like in high school? I think I was just thinking about being an actress the whole time and how I could get out," she says. "I had some really great friends, though, so I should have been much more present. But I think I was just thinking about leaving."

Watch our exclusive video to find out why Knightley says alcohol is the best cure for a broken heart and how she'd love to spend her last week on Earth.
