'The Real Housewives of New York' Alum Kelly Bensimon Joins iVillage for 'DIY Beautify'

The reality star will help judge iVillage's first competition web series

iVillage is about to get a little more dramatic!

The Real Housewives of New York City alum Kelly Bensimon will join iVillage for its first competition web series, DIY Beautify, making its debut on Oct. 1.

But you won't find any Housewives cattiness here. Bensimon will team with our very own Pat Sandora, host of iVillage's weekly series Likes or Yikes, to judge the show, which will feature two women competing to master the art of applying makeup. By using tips and tricks they've learned throughout the show, contestants will be judged on their execution and progress. Celebrity makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor will serve as a mentor and teacher to the contestants, who will range from 21 to 35 years old.

"We created DIY Beautify based on the increasing popularity of iVillage's how-to videos, and the fact that our research tells us our audience is hungry for inspiration they can use right now," said iVillage President Jodi Kahn in a statement. "Beauty is a multi-billion dollar industry for the simple reason that women want to look and feel their best. As a trusted source to millions of women, iVillage can authentically deliver tips in a relatable and entertaining way, while offering brands an organic platform to reach a key audience."
