We weren't expecting many details about Kelly Clarkson's wedding, and for good reason. Like some other privacy-loving celebrities, Clarkson and her fiancee, music manager Brandon Blackstock, chose to scrap their grandiose wedding extravaganza. "We sent out the save the date to everyone," Clarkson told People back in August. "And then it got crazy, and all the details were leaking." So the couple sent out another card, which said: "Thank you so much for understanding, but it's just going to be me and Brandon and his two kids and the minister."
On Sunday, the pair married in a top-secret ceremony at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tenn. But now that the nuptials are over, Clarkson is obviously keen to share her special day with the world! On Tuesday she tweeted a polished video of herself and the groom kissing and grinning in the beautiful setting.
The video (which is the sort you'd see from any wedding with a paid videographer) is sweet in its simplicity. Viewers get a quick and tasteful peek at the ceremony itself, which did indeed feature just the bride, groom, minister and Blackstock's two children, Savannah, 12, and Seth, 6.
After all, Clarkston got into this business as a regular person, who waited in line among thousands of contestants to audition for American Idol. And fame doesn't appear to have changed her much. Why shouldn't she have a low-key, no-frills wedding? Congratulations, Kelly, and thanks for sharing!
