Now that he's seemingly lost his mind and called several people in Hollywood trolls (and much worse!), Charlie Sheen is certainly racking up the enemies. But there's one person who, surprisingly, still has his back.
Sheen's ex-fiance from 20 years ago, Kelly Preston, recently shared some kind words for the actor. Their engagement ended when Sheen accidentally and inexplicably shot Preston in the arm in 1990. Still, the actress, who is now married to John Travolta, tells People that she feels for Sheen. "My heart just goes out to him and all of his family," she says. "He’s such a good person underneath all of it, he really is."
"We were together for a year, and he wasn’t drinking, and he wasn’t doing drugs," she continued. "And there’s a beautiful person in there. He really is a great man… I think there’s a way back for anyone. I always have hope, and my prayers are with him."
Sheen may have Preston's support, but can he earn back the support of his Two and a Half Men costar Jon Cryer?
Earlier this week, Sheen lashed out at Cryer, calling his onscreen brother "a turncoat, a traitor and a troll." But now he's taking back his harsh words -- kind of.
In a radio interview with Los Angeles Radio station K-Earth 101, Sheen issued what he called a "half-apology, an apol" to Cryer.
"I was in a mood, and I threw that out there," he said. "The reason I was upset is because I didn’t get a text or a phone call or anything saying, 'Hey dude, back off, I got your back, or you got my back, or there's a back involved.'"
In the same interview, Sheen said his rumored replacement Rob Lowe was a "beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he (replaces me on the show) and kicks its ass because I still get (paid)." But Lowe is currently starring on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, and its producer Michael Shur told the Hollywood Reporter the actor had a "multi-year contract" with NBC and wouldn’t be heading over to CBS anytime soon.
