What Did Kendall Jenner Get For Her 18th Birthday? A Ton of Gross Porn Offers

The reality star has reportedly been contacted by at least six adult film studios and been offered millions of dollars to appear in a sex tape

Just because Kendall Jenner is an adult now, doesn't mean she needs to start making adult films! Kim Kardashian's half-sister turned 18 on Sunday, and in addition to birthday cards, her mailbox has been flooded with million-dollar offers from porn companies. According to TMZ, at least six different adult film factories are offering Kendall roles. One is prepared to arrange a girl-on-girl scene with porn star Jesse Jane. Another is offering $1.8 million dollars (!) to shoot with "a partner of her choosing." (That's a way better deal than Farrah Abraham got. Just sayin'.)

So, that's pretty gross, right? In addition to all the other nonsense that comes with being a woman in the public eye, 18-year-old celebs like Kendall are now expected to respond seriously to the suggestion that they do porn. They also have to deal with idiotic headlines like the one that ran on TMZ two days ago: Kendall Jenner: I Can Do Porn. Did Kendall Jenner say this? No. Did she even suggest this? No. Did they run this headline solely because she's 18 and can legally do porn now? Yep.

Sadly, in Kendall's case, there's a specific reason why porn companies think they might have a shot. The most famous member of her family, older sister Kim Kardashian, was rocked to stardom by a sex tape made with then-boyfriend Ray J when she was 23. That tape leaked to the public in 2007, just months before the premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. And the rest is history. Based on Kim's success, might Kendall decide that the quickest road to fame and fortune is her own sex tape?

We doubt it. Kendall is already a pretty successful model, and thanks to the reality show, everyone knows her name. She doesn't have to come out of nowhere like Kim did. Also, we have a feeling that dad Bruce Jenner wouldn't be quite as forgiving of a sex-tape scandal as her mother Kris Jenner was to Kim.

Other women have already tried to emulate Kim's pornographic route to superstardom, most recently Farrah Abraham. Sadly, they're not looking at the bigger picture. It's true that Kim's sex tape gave her an overnight fame boost. But it came with a downside: Kim will never be taken seriously as long as people think of her as "that girl from the sex tape." Kim's video, which is still selling briskly, has opened some doors while closing others for good. The fact that she has so many fans -- particularly female fans, who are more likely to look down on someone who slept her way to fame -- has more to do with her extensive social media presence and savvy marketing skills than her adult-film resume.

We wonder what advice Kim herself would give to Kendall about crossing that line. (We're confident Khloe Kardashian's advice would be a simple "hell no!") But as long as Kendall stays focused on her career and her future, we're pretty sure the subject won't even come up. As well it shouldn't. She's only 18, after all.
