The heat is on for Kevin Federline on the set of his new weight-loss reality show. The portly former husband of Britney Spears was recently hospitalized for heat stress while filming Excess Baggage, the Australian version of Celebrity Fit Club.
E! News reports that Federline, 33, collapsed during his first shoot in Western Australia. It seems he was unprepared for the Outback, which -- unlike the steakhouse that bears its name -- is "widely regarded as one of the most remote and hostile parts of the country."
The show's medic diagnosed the former backup dancer with heat stress and had him escorted to the hospital. Federline's stay was brief, however; he later returned to the same location to finish filming, and is continuing with the show.
This isn't the first time K-Fed has drawn attention since he arrived in Australia last month. In mid-November, guests at an upscale hotel complained that a drunk Federline and friends had gone skinny-dipping in the hotel pool.
"It was Kevin Federline -- 100 percent," a witness told the Herald Sun. "Drunk doesn't even cover it. He was a mess... It was disgusting. I could see everything, absolutely everything."
The hotel manager confirmed that Federline was partying in the pool, but says there was "no clear footage of nakedness" captured on their security tape. The following week, K-Fed was captured by paparazzi during a much more wholesome outing: toy shopping in Sydney with girlfriend Victoria Prince and their 3-month-old daughter Jordan.
Federline, who has two children with Spears and two with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson, previously lost 30 pounds on the American Celebrity Fit Club. He has since gained back the weight -- and apparently, extended his reality TV career in the process.
