Khloe Kardashian doesn't play around when it comes to her family, so it's no surprise that the youngest of the three Kardashian sisters was upset about the Twitterverse's negative response to Kim Kardashian's divorce news.
After Kim announced on Monday that she was filing for divorce (after just 72 days of marriage), many fans and bloggers began criticizing her decision -- and even suggesting that their whole marriage was just a publicity stunt. But Khloe quickly took to Twitter to address the rampant backlash.
"Reading some these comments are so hurtful. I'm grateful for our fans who understand and are being respectful," she twittered. "Hate is disgusting. Love is everything."
Khloe, 27, went on to express her gratitude for her famously tight-knit family, which was in the news even more than usual thanks to Kim's split from Kris Humphries, as well as brother Rob's competition night on Dancing with the Stars.
"Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become closer!" Khloe, 27, added. "I love you."
Khloe may find herself perpetually on the defensive now that Kim's short-lived marriage is dominating the news cycle. In a statement to the press, Kim vaguely explained why she made the difficult decision to file for divorce:
"I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."
But Kris released his own statement, saying that he's not quite ready to give up on their marriage. We're guessing that means their split won't be leaving the headlines anytime soon!
