Get ready, Texas: The Kardashian clan is heading your way! After an emotional few days of uncertainty, NBA player Lamar Odom -- husband of Khloe Kardashian -- has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks.
According to the Los Angeles Times' Lakers blog, Odom, 32, was originally supposed to be traded to the New Orleans Hornets. But after that three-team trade didn't go through, he was traded to Dallas in exchange for their first-round pick in the 2012 NBA draft.
It's unclear why the Lakers decided to trade Odom -- whether it was to get rid of his $17 million contract to use on even more expensive players or for a more strategic move, but the Kardashian family has been thrown for an unexpected loop as they process Khloe and Lamar's move.
"We are all sad but positive energy gets you farther then negative," Khloe wrote a Twitter follower.
Kardashian, 27, twittered Saturday and Sunday about the news, sharing thoughtful Bible verses and admitting that she's "thrown off" by the development's "newness."
"I am excited," she wrote. "I know this is for a reason."
But the youngest of the three Kardashian sisters (who promised she'd follow her man wherever he was traded) would like to make it clear that she is not a reason for the trade, as some have speculated.
"I am curious as to how I am the cause for any trade?" she posted. "Some people just say anything behind their computer screens."
Now the question remains how Khloe and Lamar's upcoming move will affect the E! Network's first family of reality television.
