Khloe and Lamar have had enough of Khloe & Lamar. Kardashian, 27, and her basketball-playing husband Odom, 32, are reportedly pulling the plug on their E! reality series at the end of its current second season.
Sources tell TMZ that E! is still trying to convince Khloe and Lamar to reconsider -- but they're not budging because Odom wants to "focus on reviving his fizzling NBA career" and has even hired trainers to help him get his groove back during the off season.
Entertainment Weekly, however, has some more optimistic news for fans. "The show has NOT been cancelled," Kardashian's publicist tells EW via email. "It will depend on their schedules as Lamar's basketball schedule is a priority."
Odom sure has had a rough few months on the basetball court, putting up career-low numbers after being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks this season. His performance was so uncharacteristically sub-par, in fact, that the Mavericks put Lamar on their inactive list three weeks ago and will likely trade or release him when the season ends.
So what does all this mean? Basically, Khloe and Lamar may or may not get a third-season pick-up. But even if it doesn't, viewers haven't seen the last of the couple -- not by a long shot. E! recently re-upped with the Kardashian family for three more years of reality programming, and both Khloe and Lamar will be making appearances on the upcoming seventh season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians (debuting May 20).
And there's even more of Khloe on the horizon, if Us Weekly has the right of it; a source tells them that Khloe will likely team up with Kim, 31, or Kourtney, 33, for another spin-off show. Whew! We were starting to feel Kardashian-deprived.
