chime in nowAw, we love spring -- and so do the kiddos! Now that they’re not trapped inside because of snowy weather, celebrate this colorful, sunny season with these fun crafts for kids. Most of them are great for the whole family and -- best of all -- don't cost you a thing!
Nature's Color Palette
From: i am momma hear me roar
Why We Love It: This fun twist on the scavenger hunt gets kids outside in search of pretty colors and connects art and nature. Win-win!
What You'll Need: Cardboard, scissors, crayons, glue dots and colorful objects found outdoors.
How to Do It: Cut a piece of cardboard -- an empty cereal box will work -- into a circle to create an artist's palette. Draw small circles around the perimeter and label each one with the name of a color. Have your kid color in each circle. Then, head outside to collect objects that match the colors -- a red flower or a brown pebble, for example. Attach them to the palette with glue dots.
Great for Kids: Preschool and up
