The Kids' Table: Make Tasty Waffle Towers with Your Kids

j. tarrab

This fresh and fruity take on waffles is delicious and fun for breakfast or brunch (and is certainly healthier than drowning your plate in syrup). Have the kids help cut the fruit and assemble their own towers, and free to swap in your own family's favorite fruits. You can make the waffles in advance or user frozen ones to save time.

Get your kids excited about this recipe by playing around with different fruits—try exotic ones like mango, kiwi and pineapple. Tell your kids that fresh mint has a reputation of freshening the breath and settling an upset stomach…not to mention smelling and tasting wonderful. (Don't forget to freeze any extra fresh mint to use in tea on another day.)
