The Keeping Up with The Kardashians star stopped by Today Friday morning to guest-host the show and to candidly talk about all things love and (ill-advised) marriage; she proved quite the artful dodger, however, when it came to questions about a potentially budding romance with West.
"I completely respect and understand that you have to ask these questions, but as I've said before, Kanye and I have been friends for years," she told Ann Curry. Kardashian did hint at a romance, however, when she added: "You know, you never know what the future holds or where my life will take me. So... I like the song!"
The song she's speaking of is West's new single "Theraflu," in which he seemingly confesses his love for Kardashian -- and implies that he could have her estranged husband Kris Humphries fired from the New Jersey Nets, the NBA team owned by West's good buddy Jay-Z.
"And I admit I fell in love with Kim 'round the same time she fell in love with him," West raps in the song. "That's cool, babygirl, do your thing. Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team."
West, 34, and Kardashian, 31, were spotted seeing a showing of The Hunger Games in New York City Wednesday night. The next morning, Kardashian was photographed leaving West's apartment wearing the same outfit she had on the night before, and the duo was later spotted lunching and shopping around the Big Apple.
Although Kardashian didn't want to talk about her current dating life, she was willing to open up about her experiences following her split from Humphries, referring to speculation that her 72-day marriage was a sham as "ridiculous."
"Now, after going through something myself, I really feel like I can relate and understand other people that have gone through things that have been tough," she said. "I thank God for my family for getting me through it."
She also opened up about the fact that Humphries' still hasn't singed the divorce papers and is instead seeking an annulment based on grounds of "fraud."
"I'm sure I would love (an annulment) myself, but you know, there's certain guidelines on how you can get one and I'm not sure that we fall under that," she said. "But I'm really, out of respect for him, I try not to really talk about stuff involving him regarding that situation.... I'm just really ready to close that chapter. I have closed that chapter. I'm just really ready to move on."
