Kim Kardashian to David Letterman: It's Time To Stop Mocking My Marriage!

Forget 72 days! The mom-to-be slyly points out that her marriage to Kris Humphries has lasted for about two years now thanks to his refusal to sign divorce papers

Kim Kardashian thinks her marriage with Kris Humphries is no laughing matter. He won't divorce her unless they get an annulment to prove that she married him out of fraud, and she just wants their time linked to one another to be over -- likely so she can get rid of the shadow hanging over her relationship with Kanye West.

That's why, when she visited Late Show with David Letterman, Kardashian asked the late night talk show host to stop cracking jokes about her "72-day marriage." As she points out, it's lasted a lot longer than that:

"Those jokes really can't work, because I've really been married for almost two years," Kardashian said. "So it hasn’t been 72 days, it's been almost two years." Zing!

Her sister Kourtney Kardashian noted, "I think if she was going to do it for publicity, she'd pick someone that people knew!" Double zing!

Kardashian, 32, says she would "love to" grant Humphries an annulment, but can't because of his claims of fraud. That hasn't stopped her from getting serious with West, who is the father of her first child. The two of them haven't decided on a baby name, and says they still "have to think about" whether or not they want their child to also have a "K" name.

"We're not sure yet," she tells E! News. "I have to discuss that with my boyfriend to see where we are. But we'll keep the name private, I think, whenever we decide."

If that strikes you as odd, then it's because the whole privacy thing seems to go against the Kardashian manta. The family has made a name for itself by sharing itself with the world, and Kardashian seems to have realized that showing so much of her personal life might have been a mistake.

"I feel like I have divulged so much in the past. Not that that was wrong, but I just choose to be a little bit more private this time around, just for me and my family," she says of her year-long relationship with West. "I like to keep all that stuff about why it's so perfect and why it works and all that just between us."

Hooray, Kim! We're proud of you for turning over this new leaf -- we just hope you stick to your word.
