Kim Kardashian may think "pimpin'" is easy, but Demi Moore doesn't approve of her saying so! A veritable war of words got underway when the recently single Kardashian, 29, opted to have a girls' night out with friends Serena Williams, La La Vazquez, and Kelly Rowland, and tweeted, "Big pimpin w @SerenajWilliams @LaLaVazquez @Kelly_Rowland Love u girls!" after posting a pic of the revelry.
The seemingly harmless tweet (referring to a 2000 Jay-Z song, "Big Pimpin'") prompted Moore, 47, to ask Kardashian via her own Twitter, "Are you using the word "pimpin" as in pimping?" The reality star soon tweeted back, "Doesn't everyone? LOL... Nothing wrong with dancing to Big Pimpin' by Jay Z in the club! Having a girls night out, gotta love that song!"
Moore, who heads an anti-child slavery campaign with husband Ashton Kutcher, 32 (who had tweeted earlier in the week, "I think human slavery is worth opening the books for"), responded to Kardashian again: ""A pimp is nothing more than a slave owner!.. if we want to end slavery we need to stop glorifying the "pimp" culture.. I was just making a point about how we have used a word and desensitized the real meaning."
The actress eventually clarified her remarks to convey that it wasn't Kardashian she was fuming about: "Just so ya'll are clear I like @KimKardashian I was just making a point about how we have used a word and desensitized the real meaning." But, after negative feedback, Moore soon wrote from her page, "Clearly I stirred up a s**t storm."
Kardashian (who has caused problems in the past on Twitter) finally replied to Moore, "Good point!I agree! It was just a song not literal." Moore's final tweet to Kardashian regarding their tweet argument, "Thx 4 understanding!"
