Reality star Kim Kardashian is no stranger to celebrity encounters, but even she got starstruck when music legend Prince pulled her on stage at a recent concert. During his Monday night performance at New York City's Madison Square Garden, the 52-year-old artist who formerly changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol, had the curvaceous Kardashian join him in the spotlight to dance... but when she didn't shake that world-famous booty, he kicked her off the stage!
"OMG Prince just pulled me up on stage!!!" Kim, 30, wrote on her Twitter account. She even shared a photo of the event with the caption, "I was so nervous I froze when Prince touched me!!!!"
Unable to keep up with Prince's enviable dance steps, a shell-shocked, suddenly shy Kim smiled and clapped rather than busting a move. But Prince had no patience for her unwillingness to get down, and jokingly dismissed her, saying, "Get off the stage!" Watch for yourself in the clip below.
Kim's new boyfriend Kris Humphries, 25, found it endearing that his girlfriend was intimidated by the big-time star. "Kim got shy on stage," he wrote on his Twitter page. "She looked gorgeous though!"
Fortunately, the brunette beauty -- who wasn't shy in a recent Super Bowl ad for Sketchers -- got a second chance to prove she wasn’t a stick in the mud. Two hours later, she rejoined the Purple One in front of the crowd. "Went up on stage AGAIN! This time I redeemed myself," she twittered. "We all danced while Prince played the piano! Wow! What a night!"
Kim isn't the first star Prince has plucked from the crowd to help him on stage. At his Jan. 20 concert, he pulled Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester up to dance and had late-night host Jimmy Fallon play the drums. Celebrities better wear their dancing shoes -- and bring their drumsticks -- if they plan on partying like it's 1999 at one of Prince's shows!
