Kim Kardashian sure knows how to poke fun at herself. The reality star jokingly challenged "tanning mom" Patricia Krentcil for the title of tannest one of all.
Kardashian, 31, posted a photo of herself on Twitter looking conspicuously bronzed on May 12.
"The tannerexic mom has some serious competition!!! LOL," she captioned the Instagram photo, in which Kardashian shows off her startlingly tan face, neck and torso (including some eye-popping cleavage).
But Kardashian was quick to assure her fans that the over-the-top tan was just temporary.
"Relax that's just a spray tan!" she twittered. "It washed off & I'm back to my normal tan self! But how crazy does it look after being on for 8 hours!"
She continued to joke about Krentcil's popularity, asking: "How do you spell tanorexic anyway?" she added. "Tannerexic? Tannorexic? Is this even a real word?"
Krentcil, the woman referred to as the "tanning mom," caused quite the stir earlier this month when she was charged with second-degree child endangerment for allegedly taking her 5-year-old daughter tanning.
The 44-year-old New Jersey mom pleaded not guilty, but she quickly became a common punchline after appearing on TV defending herself.
With her overly tan skin, Krentcil admitted to excessively tanning and told the court: "I'm very tan and I've been tanning my whole life." Krentcil has since been banned from a franchise of New Jersey tanning salons she used to frequent.
